Hi - I'm Yvette and I'm a multi-award winning travel journalist based in London with a passion to tell stories about how we can make a positive impact in how we travel. My work delves into themes of responsible tourism with a focus on women, the cultural roots of food and culinary history, and sustainable journeys, particularly those made by train.
I am a member of the British Guild of Travel Writers and a regular contributor to the Independent newspaper. I also write for adventure.com, BBC Sky at Night Magazine, Escapism Magazine, Low Season Traveller Magazine, iPaper and the New Zealand Herald.

In 2025, I was proud to win three awards for my writing and shortlisted for two more.
For my feature about whether tourism could bring meaningful change for Saudi women, judges said that it was "a beautiful and evocative piece" that asked some "big questions about society, travel and who we are in 2025."
